X.2575 EFC4/T27.10.20. To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EFC. c. to Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/Ms. c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X.2515 - FUSE WIRE - X.3564 With reference to the two samples 19 S.W.G. and 20 S.W.G. of pure tin fuse wire received from the London Electric Wire Co. under cover of their letter of the 25th inst., we have now tested these and find that the average fusing currents of these in position in the Lucas junction box is, for the 19 S.W.G. 34.5 amps., and for the 20 S.W.G. 29.3 amps. The latter therefore falls just outside our limits of 30 to 35 amperes, whereas the former falls just inside at the top. The former wire, therefore, may be considered as correct for our purpose. We think that the use of pure tin wire will be very much more satisfactory. EFC. R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 | ||
