With the points open the machine cut
in (14.0 volts) at 2000 rpm (38 mph) and
lit a side-lamp at 17.0 volts at 2600 rpm
(50 mph).

The extra coil was now put in action
and the switch re-adjusted to the following:-

Volts to open.
16.6 Open circuit
17.0 On battery 750 rpm
17.4 " " 1000 "
17.8 " " 1600 "
18.0 " " 2000 "
18.2 " " 3000 "

Volts to close.
13.7 Dynamo standing
13.2 " at 1000 rpm
12.6. " " 1500 "
12.0 " " 2000 "
12.4 " " 2500 "
12.6 " " 3200 "
