Mr. Maurice Olley,
Rolls-Royce of America,
Springfield, Mass.

Dear Mr. Olley:

We are sending herewith blueprints of the rear spring rear bracket and cap, a sketch of the rear spring center bracket, a sketch of the rear spring movement and a data sheet.

The rear spring rear bracket is a casting pressed on the axle and fastened with six (6) bolts, as at present. The cap is of pressed steel held down by bolts at the four corners.

The rear spring center bracket is a casting attached to the side of the frame with a lip underneath to carry the weight. The cap is a casting with an extension to take the link to the cross bar for preventing frame twist.

The design of the center bracket is not finished and may be quite different, but is being included to show in a way what we are trying to do.

We would be pleased to have your comments on these sketches.

Very truly yours,

RUBBER SHOCK INSULATOR COMPANY.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} R.{Sir Henry Royce} Gurney,

Engineering Department.
