308 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTB. & KW. 30.8.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Induction System. Within the next few days we will be carrying out tests on a four-port(mock-up) induction system, EX.19300, using two carburetters, instead of the present 4. We are co-operating with the Design Dept., in this matter, as a lot of possible alterations to cylinder heads etc. are pending, and it is essential therefore that they keep the closest touch with our development work. LeC.4667 shows a packing washer which is used in conjunction with the present pipe, EX.19300, the inlet branches of which are to be shortened .350 as shown. The idea of this further modification is explained in E/FSN.4/MN.29.8.35 (attached). Will you please carry out this necessary modification. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/C. T. Salt. | ||
