When we build a Bentley fitted with this unit, we shall have to consider a Duplex Exhaust System. Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} is arranging to try one out on 11.B.V. in the immediate future. The R.R. 6-cylinder exhaust system fitted to the 8 is very quiet, but it will be seen that at 4,000 R.P.M. it absorbs no less than 45 horse-power. Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} is carrying out experiments to see if he can obtain a fair degree of silence while reducing the back pressure. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
