CORNIST HALL, FLINT, N. WALES. TELEPHONE 4 FLINT. Dear Bill, Many thanks for your letter of the 7th. The snow which got into my bonnet was of the slushy type & was thrown in through the undershield louvres by the front wheels. The water which put the coil and/or distributor out of action came through the radiator as you surmised. I had this trouble before going through heavy rain & pools in the road. I have cured it by fitting rubber tubes over the H.T. wires which are stretched over the distributor mouldings & project about 4" up each wire. I believe the lead from the coil was the worst offender & I have a long rubber tube on this. Your people are sending me a new petrol pump. Mine has practically ceased to function & I find the platinum contacts are nearly burnt. | ||
