Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby. YOUR REF. OUR REF. WOK/PG SUBJECT 10th November..1938 reply 6119. file. Dear Robotham, I have now driven the Rolls Bentley some four or five thousand miles, and almost entirely without reservation, I am thoroughly delighted with it. The only troubles I have had with it have been small fiddling things as a result of a secondhand car being re-assembled. I mean things like windscreen wipers, petrol pump switches and one or two other things being electrically defective, and I have also suffered from clutch maladjustment, brakes pulling, loose fenders and bumper, and petrol fumes in the rear compartment. All this, however, has been well taken care of by your Kingsbury Service Station, with the result that I am a very satisfied owner. I realise that the car from the latest modern engineering practices is not up-to-date insofar as suspension and one or two other things are concerned, but I can most honestly say that I prefer to drive this motorcar to any other standard motorcar of any make or nationality whatsoever. I have to thank you very much indeed for helping to make it available for me. Yours very sincerely, W.O.Kennington Chairman. Dictated by Mr. Kennington but signed in his absence. | ||
