re. 104-MY. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s Car.

In regard to the above, which we understand is coming to you for attention, JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} from London writes:-

"As you are aware, this car will be coming up to Derby. Will you please note that owing to lack of time we did not carry out the "F" modification to the carburetter.

We also found there was a rattle in the change speed lever and the starter was erratic in operation. Several times when the button was pressed it did not engage.

You will note that the buffer-to-axle clearances at the rear are excessive by approximately ½" over the maximum standard.

This car certainly looks as if it is stuck up at the rear. No doubt you will investigate this when it comes up to Derby, which should be in the course of the next few days."

As discussed on the telephone, will you please give the above your attention, or give us time to do so. I should like to test the car (short run only) before and after your attention.
