Dear Mr. Elliot, We shall be glad to co-operate with you in regard to the Summer's torsional indicator. Whatever you wish to do just proceed. I should like to get your active co-operation with regard to oils for engines. We have decided to push ahead with definite recommendations for light oils. We have talked with the representatives of five major oil companies and have arrived at a specification that covers thin oils that have a viscosity range sufficiently flat as to make a desirable lubricant. What has been arrived at really means a thinner cold oil only, for the various grades considered. The specifications have been agreed to by the oil companies; however we are asking for more specific grading of oils and the separation of "Grades" from brands. Its marvellous how they squirm when we ask them to grade their oils and mark such grades on the containers. We feel that due to export we must cover our products world wide, and oils we specify are equivalent to S.A.E. 10 20 and 30, which oils cover us for the extreme of climate or service. We are asking these fellows to use 10 - 20 30 etc. for marking or grading as these do have some inter-national usage. The battle rages - will you help us? Yours very truly, Alex Taub ALEX TAUB.
