Re - Switchbox. Section 8160    X.6070
Chassis No. 58-GN - Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car.    X.6016.

In order to suitably alter the Switchbox fitted to the above car, so that charging takes place when stop and tail lights are switched on, it is necessary to dismantle it and remove the brushes from the lighting side and fit in their places the following :-

D.73236    Brush stamping.    10 off.
D.73237    " "        10 off.
D.73240    Brush separator L.H.    1 off.
D.73241    Contact maker L.H.    1 off.

We attach blue prints of the above parts, for your information. We also send blue prints of :-

D.73238/9 Brush assemblies.

and "D" Scheme 450, showing the arrangement of same.

Will you please put one set of parts in hand.

In the event of 3/16" thick Continental bakelite not being available for the brush separator, we should agree to 3 - 1/16" thick sheets being used.

It should be checked that in the "off" position the contact maker of the lighting side, which is now permanently connected to the battery, is quite clear of the upper portion of the lock. We think it will be, but as the upper portion of the lock is an unmachined piece we think it should be checked.
