However, we do want to settle the point, as we believe that the large brake drums are responsible for a good deal of the steering shocks. Therefore if you can go to Paris and get a standard front axle and springs fitted to the car, and follow this by fitting standard springs only, you should be able to settle the point. We note that the pedal coming up to the boards is due to speed and not to torque. The half speed crankshaft period should not be detectable. Probably while you had the radiator off you took the opportunity to check the slipper wheel and if necessary increase the poundage. Anyhow, let us have any information available.
