LID{A. J. Lidsey} X5992. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}18/I/12-11-31. 20-G-LV. R's NEW CAR. With reference to the suggestion that this car might be fitted with headlights incorporating the Lucas Graves dipping bulbs, I find that Lucas have not yet produced a P80 or P100 lamp to which this bulb can be fitted. But I have told them we want a pair of P80 lamps so equipped for the above and Mr. Oliver Lucas has undertaken to produce a pair in stainless steel in a fortnight's time. This settles the headlamp question and there is no need to worry any further about the possibility of carrying a centre lamp, so will BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please disregard our Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}16/I/6-11-31 which replied to BY/Cgh{W Clough}6/G5-11-31. For the information of EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} we would add that we shall supply for R's new car, in addition to the P80 lamps with Lucas Graves bulbs, a Bosch foot switch and an FWB lamp. The Bosch foot switch is intended, of course, to act as a change-over switch for the two filaments in the special bulbs. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}' copy of this Memo. we attach a somewhat soiled copy of a pamphlet describing the Graves bulb. Hn.{F. C.
