27th. July 1920

Dear Sirs,

X.1434 For the attention of Mr. Watson.

With reference to your letter of the 26th.inst. ref:- MS/BOCL. if you could send us half-a-gallon of oil you recommend to use for Aircraft, we could then carry out our Laboratory tests. If these were satisfactory we should then require a gallon drum for a test on an engine. We do not carry out tests with oil on an engine until we are satisfied with our own Laboratory tested oil. if you will be so good as to send us half-a-gallon of oil, we will let you know at a later date the results obtained with it and whether we wish you to send on a further quantity for a test on an engine.

Yours faithfully,

R.R. 285A (100 I) (S.G.) (T.S) 648. 18-2-20 (G). 2618
