c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}- X 4181 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/015.10.23 F.R. Re. 20-HP. Chassis 62.H.2. - Kerr. The owner particularly wanted a Bosch magneto fitted to this car. However, he was persuaded by S. to have an E.O.6. Watford fitted. This machine recently failed causing considerable annoyance to the owner, particularly in view of the fact that he had expressed the desire to have a Bosch magneto. We have received the faulty machine back and have sent it to the makers for their investigation and report. We have also fitted another ED.{J. L. Edwards}6.Watford, but customer has only allowed us to do this on the distinct understanding that we go into the matter of fitting him a Bosch magneto. Will you therefore please go into this matter from a technical point of view, and let us know what alterations, if any, will be necessary to fit a Bosch machine, so that we can put the matter before BJ. for his ruling.
