Re tests on SY Battery (170)
This battery was taken from the M.S. for bench tests.
On low rate discharge through a constant external resistance of 1.80w 52 ampere hours were realised. Positive weakness was shewn on the cadmium test on the Oldham cells.
After a good charge it was given a high rate discharge through a constant external resistance of 100w
Initial amperes = 108.0
Time to 100 " = 10.5 min
" " 90 " = 14.9 "
" " 80 " = 16.9 "
Cadmium readings shewed negative weakness on all cells.
Signed: G.J.
