By/RD. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} x6091 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/MA.9.5.33. PEREGRINE STARTER MOTOR. As our tests proved satisfactory with a Peregrine motor improvised with the main winding on two poles and the teazer on the other two we should be glad if you will instruct another motor to be made up with the windings so arranged and with the Pinion in Max Horton special forged aluminium bronze. By/EM. will be able to furnish particulars of the AL.BZ alloy specification. The windings we used on the improvised experimental motor were as follows:- Main. 7 turns per pole of P.II starter motor field bar. If it is possible to accomodate any larger cross section it would be preferable. Teazer. 72 turns per pole of 20 S.W.G. D.C.C. per pole. Armature to D.100364. We also fitted to this motor the stronger armature return spring which you have previously instructed. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
