contd:- -2- Sometime ago we carried out a test to see if we could cause a steering box to fail by bolting it to an over-size tube - we went up to .005" oversize and tightened the bolts until they stretched, but no harm came to the box. Fortunately all the cars, except the first twenty, are fitted with aluminium bronze steering boxes - all steering boxes are now being changed to this material. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
