J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. PETROL TANK.
With reference to your layout of the J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. petrol tank - F.58565. - and the electrical petrol gauge fitting on the tank, we note that you have given this fitting a sheet metal cover the same as you are proposing for U. series 25HP.
We do not think one needs the sheet metal cover on J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. as the fitting is always under the body or the apron, and is never seen.
With the removal of the cover and tail screw boss the fitting will no longer foul the base of the cushion.
We are assuming this will be done on 1.J.3., and are not cutting the cushion out to clear the design with a cover.
As previously stated we are assuming a non-sealed filler several inches higher and clear of the wing.
