D.W.S.JACKS Our difficulties here are definitely increasing, and last week Chassis Test Department found it necessary to reject no less than 26 such Jacks - 16 rear and 10 fronts - for leaks, the leaks occurring at the extension tubes, particularly at the first extension. I know the question of design has had special consideration in recent weeks, but the fact remains, these continual failures are seriously jeopardizing our output. Additional thereto you will recollect we had a P.III chassis in London, i.e. at Abbots Garage, Bromley, which collapsed when standing on the Jacks. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
