-2- Since it is going to be exceedingly difficult to ensure that the flexible pipe is perfectly clean, the filter recently designed to be located at the carburetter end of the flexible pipe seems to be the immediate solution. One of these will be fitted to C's car before it is returned. The question of the flexible mounting being the cause of the trouble on C's car does not arise, since his car is not one of the series fitted with the soft Terra-lane type of rubbers, and therefore has only a very limited amount of rotational movement. A full report on the investigations carried out, both on flooding and on the question of petrol consumption, will be issued in due course. EW/RH.{R. Hollingworth} | ||
