Engine's power curve, performance, and a specific issue with tappet adjustment.

Attached herewith is a power curve showing the best power we have so far obtained from the above engine. This power curve was taken with a Claudel Carburetter fitted - with the E.A.C. Carburetter we are so far obtaining 103 HP. max.
The engine is running very well - we cannot notice any vibration periods throughout the range of speed.
The tappet adjustment works very well. There is, however, one difficulty. When one section is slacked off (i.e. 6 tappets) after having adjusted one correctly and the engine is turned round in order to adjust the next one, in some cases the original one which has been adjusted, alters. It is necessary to be sure that there is sufficient friction on each adjustment to prevent this occurring, otherwise, it is a most difficult job to adjust the tappets.
The engine has now run 30 hours.
