Dear Sirs,
We are very interested indeed to receive your favour of the 5th instant relative to the tests you have made on the eight Couplings which we submitted to you some time ago.
As you very kindly agreed, in the event of our not charging these up to you, to test them thoroughly out we included four Couplings which we did not for one moment think would be of very great service, so that we do not wish you to condemn these as the results obtained have simply borne out what we expected.
The two Couplings which have given you marked service and which you have passed OK were made of the finest ingredients possible. From the marks upon same we know exactly what they are, the degree of vulcanization, ingredients and the like, and while of course we cannot give you any mileage guarantee we can and will promise you consistency and any orders you may intrust to us will be executed in strict accordance with the two Couplings which
