Re: Discs for Steel Wheels - Bentley V.{VIENNA}

We send herewith PD.341 shewing a disc for the steel wheel on the standard Bentley V.{VIENNA} A similar disc will be used on the special steel wheel for the Continental model and we suggest that the production D.O. make the necessary modification to the angle of the base of the sheet metal fixing brackets.

The centre hexagon is a brass pressing fixed in by means already shown to us on the disc supplied with the sample Sankey wheel.

We would like to use standard rubber tyre/valve if possible, but show one of the standard metal valves as an alternative.

The tool for removing the disc is based on the design used on the Sankey wheel, except that after insertion it is rocked circumferentially instead of radially.

It is suggested that a set of these discs be produced and fitted to one of the experimental Bentley V.{VIENNA} cars for viewing and testing.
