To R.{Sir Henry Royce} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Nor. c. to R.{Sir Henry Royce} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Re.4/WJ.21.5.31. X483 We attach herewith copy of a letter we have received from Cy., in reply to a letter which we sent him giving a report on the Delco Shock Absorbers etc. It would appear that we ought to do some more experiments with the shimmy shackle. We have made and tried one of these some time ago, but did not appreciate any advantages. It is probable that we did not know enough about it at that time. The steerings on American cars have improved wonderfully during the last few years and we ought therefore to go over this job again. There are also some interesting remarks on the synchro mesh gearbox. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Att: Copy of letter from Cy. dated May 12th.1931. | ||
