October,1936. Messrs. Park Ward & Co., 473, High Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re Phantom III Long Wheelbase Enclosed Limousine - 48EX. When last the writer was at your Works this body was in the process of being panelled. We are informed by the Experimental Dept. that the chassis for this body will soon be ready, and we would like you to go ahead with the work of completing it as rapidly as possible. We anticipate sending you the chassis to mount the body. In order that you may retain the chassis for the minimum period we suggest that the body be completed, trimmed and painted prior to the receipt of the chassis if the chassis is not available before hand. We would be glad to have word from you by return to hear how far this body has progressed since we last saw it, and approximately what date it will be completely painted and trimmed. We appreciate that the front wings cannot be finished off until you receive the chassis on account of the widened dash-board and bonnet. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
