HYDRAULIC DAMPERS FOR REAR. PHANTOM.
-------------------------------------

The completed standardization sheet for the above involves determining where the change shall be brought in. I suggest that we should not try and push it into C.2. Series, but order it for the new Series we are about to issue instructions for that is, "D.2."

I do not feel that the advantages aimed at would be sufficiently great to justify scrapping the material which has been delivered for C.2, that is, we will have 200 sets of Hartford shock dampers, for which we will get no credit from the makers if we scrap same.

The modifications which you mention in the standardization sheet are covered by N.Schemes 2282/3. showing strengthened fixing and shield to protect the piece against flying stones.
