Technical memo about creating an inspection hole for the brake lever and a scheme for a gear pre-selection valve.

(2) more clearance to the end of the connecting rod attached to the brake lever, and this could be done by cutting an inspection hole in the casing immediately opposite the end of the brake lever. It is suggested that this latter might be done with advantage in any case as it would enable the precise position of the lver and connecting rod to be inspected. We are sending through a scheme for fitting a valve preventing the gear from being changed without taking out the clutch. This has one extra advantage in that it enables the gear to be pre-selected.
