To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to C. 86116. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.8/MJ.3.3.36. Re. Lucas P.100 Lamps Removed from Trials Car after 'Black out'. We have made a careful test of these lamps wired up to a battery with fuses inserted and have not been able to reproduce any 'black out' after 50 hrs. bumping on a Bentley bump chassis. We have therefore come to the conclusion that the fault may not necessarily have been in the lamps but may have been due to an incorrect fuse having been installed in the first instance, or a fault in the wiring. We should be glad to know if C. will give us further instructions regarding the disposal of these lamps. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/H.E.West. | ||
