Geoffrey Summers, Esq.,
Hawarden Bridge Steel Works,
Shotton,
Chester.

Dear Mr. Summers,

Thankyou for your letter of Feb.13th.

We have no intention of altering the compression ratio on the Bentley cars. The engine details of your car will be identical to your brother's.

There is a proposal to alter the oil drain plug. This modification cannot, however, be incorporated in your chassis until early in March.

I think the best way to deal with this matter would be for you to come over to derby one day after you have run the car and we could quietly and unofficially modify it. Do not, for goodness sake, broadcast this or mention it to London.

As regards the movement of the front wings we are doing what we can with this and I expect we shall have made an improvement, but we cannot promise this.

I have asked our London Office to write to you about the probable delivery date. I do not think there will be any difficulty as we are keeping our promises as regards delivery of chassis from the Works.

Yours sincerely,
