BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X. 7430 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M18.4.28. EAC.14. SUPPORT OF STEERING COLUMN. Herewith we send N.schs. 2583/4/6 shewing proposals for stiffening the steering column on the sports chassis in accordance with R's instructions. N.sch.2583 shews the arrangement as proposed by R.{Sir Henry Royce} in R3/M7.4.28. N.sch.2586 is the arrangement which we saw on the bumping rig at Derby, and N.sch.2584 is a further suggestion for stiffening the steering column itself. We are not sure which arrangement R.{Sir Henry Royce} will prefer and we suggest that nothing should be done until we hear from him. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
