IRON FOUNDRY.

Re. Cast Crankshafts.

I am returning herewith the memos. after carefully noting contents of same.

Unfortunately, Mr. Knagg and I were unable to visit Ford's Works as you had kindly arranged for us, owing to an internal labour problem which called for urgent attention. The proposed visit to Leyland had to be cancelled for the same reason. We hope, however, to have the pleasure of visiting Fords in the near future.

Mr. West's reply to our request for information on cast crankshafts drew a blank, and he suggests that it would be much better for you, Mr. Knagg and myself to pay him a visit to discuss the question.

Mr. Knagg and I intend to spend a day at Leyland on Monday, September 27th., so that if you could spare the time to join us, I feel sure Mr. West would make the visit very well worth while.
