List of required modifications and checks for a Bentley car, reference 2-B-IV, before a trip to the Continent.

| To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW.11.7.34. 2-B-IV. Bentley's Car. Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} is taking his car on the Continent at the end of the month and there are one or two points which require attention before he does this. They are as follows :- (1) Duralumin connecting rods removed and replaced by standard steel rods. (2) Brakes. The steel brake shoes should be removed and standard shoes with standard linings fitted. (3) Rear axle thrust race brought up to latest practice, GB.1208 with adjusting shim EX.14447. (4) The slipper wheel poundage requires checking. (5) Wheels should be examined for loose spokes. (6) Hub caps to be fitted marked with the word "Bentley". (7) Rear shock absorbers removed and poundage raised to 100. (8) Will you please fit the RR.53 alloy pistons which we instructed for B-6 unit to 2-B-IV.
