1245. W/P. To Sr. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/AP.17.3.37. B.26.JD.{J. Draper - Frames} (Mr.P.L.Dreyfus) With reference to your communication over the telephone regarding the low oil pressure at high speeds on the above car, we have just turned up your memo Sr/VA.1/GM.3.2.37. This states that the large capacity oil pump was removed off the above car in order to fit to B.107.GP. (Mr.E.Dubonnet) chassis. Does this mean that a standard small pump was fitted on B.26.JD.{J. Draper - Frames} or have you since reiftted the large pump which belongs to this car as despatched from our works.? If you have the std. pump (small) then this would account for your low pressure. Will you please verify as with the extra hole in the crank journal B.26.JD.{J. Draper - Frames} should have a large pump. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
