EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}5/JH.

3rd. October, 1938.

Messrs. S. Smith & Sons Ltd.
Cricklewood works,
LONDON.N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr. F.J. Grosé.

Dear Sirs,

re Automatic Jet Control.

The above unit was handed over to the writer by our Mr. C.T.Salt for test purposes on the road.

This was fitted to an experimental car in order to operate the choke on a Stromberg D.C.42 carburetter.

We regret to say that the unit has failed, presumably in the bellows.

We are returning same under separate cover addressed for your inspection.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
