To: Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From G.W.H. Hôtel de France, Châteauroux, Indre. 23/7/30. We have received your letter Hsl/MJ.21/7/30 and note your remarks. We have, during this mroning, received the pressure plate for the clutch, and are now very busy finishing off the re-erecting of it. We note you are sending out a new radiator. I should be very pleased if you would incorporate my suggestion to this radiator before dispatching it. Re the heat to the carburetter, the test will be tried out as soon as we get running again. With regard to the standard wheels, it will be quicker and cheaper to wait until I run up to Paris. Re your visit on Monday, I take it that I shall be meeting you in Paris on that date, therefore I propose leaving here early Monday morning, arriving in Paris during the afternoon. I shall call at Sèvres for any instructions you may send there for me to receive. With regard to the drivers, I can send two back. It will be quite all right providing nothing serious goes wrong with the car or any big jobs do not crop up. In that event, it would mean going up to Paris to get them done, in which case not much expense would be saved. We hope to continue running our mileage in the morning, 24th. inst. G.W.H. | ||
