Dear Mr Robotham,

I regret that I have to write to say that my brakes are fading away. While as yet they are not bad, for light pressures of the pedal they have lost the bight that before made them so pleasant to use.

While I can still stop the car, I have now to use about four times the pressure on the pedal for a given result as compared with when the car left Derby.

Also the action of the servo appears to be somewhat erratic. And for a given pedal pressure (as near as I can judge) I seem to get a varying degree of braking. I have not as yet been able to ascertain the exact symptoms as they also appear to vary.

I should like to mention that the servo is never cleaned here with parafin, but when dirty is wiped over with a rag.

The mileage is now 18183.

While the braking is not yet really bad, I do think that considering the mileage and Mr Hore Belisha's regulations the rate of deterioration has been
