TELEPHONE AVENUE 7854 (2 LINES) W.B. DICK & Co, LIMITED. TELEGRAPH ADDRESS, DICOTTO, LONDON. 90, Fenchurch Street, London, E.C. 3 Sept. 13th. 1917 [STAMP: RECEIVED SEP 14 1917] [STAMP: CED/SEP 14 1917] [STAMP: P] Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Your Ref. WMS/E12917. Dear Sirs, We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of yesterday's date, but you do not make it quite clear to us really what you do want in the line of an analysis of our Oil, which we sent you for trial. The samples in question consist of 90% of a highly refined pure hydro-carbon mineral oil made from Pennsylvanian crudes and 10% of fixed oil consisting of selected animal oils. You ask for the percentage of Castrol Oil. There is no such article. Castrol is a word used in a descriptive sense by competitors of ours. If you mean castor oil, we may say that the particular oil which we have sent you for trial does not contain any. We trust that such information as we have now given you is what you require and will enable you to proceed with the tests. Yours faithfully, W. B. DICK & COMPANY, LIMITED, [Signature: Chas. Jno. Dick] DIRECTOR. | ||
