Floats.

Because float wide cyl. bore must clear jacket.

Probably can be cut in.

We seem to have got back to your Lec. 2527, but so much of the carburetter uptake is in the cyl. block. Would that not heat the mixture too much and cause loss of volumetric efficiency? I realise it is a good place.
The other difficulty was thought to be the change for a vertical type carburetter which we hope to have ready by when the engine is running.
