X1166 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Dwg.19/KW. 10th January, 1936. The Automotive Products Co. Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. For the attention of Mr. C. Clench. Dear Sirs, Ph.III Hydraulic Jacks. We beg to thank you for your letter CC/PL.A.104 of the 9th inst., enclosing suggested bracket for the front Jacks of the above system. We approve of the suggested design, but think a forging would be far more strong and reliable than either a bronze or alum. bronze casting, also we suggest that the Jacks are fitted with a slight toe-in, this will allow for extra weight of body, fairings, etc. As soon as you have the installation under way, will you please notify us, when the writer will call and discuss the system with you. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
