Further to our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}/L.G.11.1.29. where we asked for a reduction in the side clearance of the links to reduce the tendency to knock in these dampers. We. have now agreed to drilling the high pressure valve on these particular dampers and we recommend two .062 holes on the lines of F.30648 for the rear of the 20 HP. only as this is the only damper which is worrying us with noise complaints. In addition We. have given us a small amount of additional pin area by widening the lever eye which we shall bring on to production as soon as we have tried it out. Our third improvement which we hope to release very shortly, is nitro alloy steel for the parts in question. Mr. Pilling's car will indicate what relief we may expect from the drilled valve as this is the only modification from standard that we have made to this car.
