3-30 20/9/26 X4565 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} BY3/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 20.9.26. 33 x 6.75 tyres with triple tread modified in accordance with the scheme outlined to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} As a result of my letter, Colonel Matthew rang me up to say that he hoped to let us have a set of the tyres having the new tread, in a month's time. I think this is the earliest possible date we are likely to get the tyres in question, as I have particularly impressed upon them the urgency of the matter. In addition to this, I have received a letter from the Dunlop Rubber Company Ltd. dated September 18th, in which they acknowledge receipt of two of my letters urging upon them certain aspects of the wheel and tyre question, which they appear to be slipping up upon as explained to me by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, and state that both of these letters are receiving the earnest consideration of all concerned, and that Colonel Matthew will communicate with us as soon as possible on the subject.
