Drawing No. E.81439. Part List Origin. Machined to allow no stress of the plate to interfere with the spring loading. Experimental Test Report. ---- The corrugated plate with windows cut in enables the friction load to be set by the springs and is not controlled by the varying loads set up by the spring plate. Road Test Report. Fitted to 24-EX and ran 10,000 miles in France. It proved satisfactory there being no sign of bush knock or crank vibration. There was no sign of failure of the plate. Decision Options: A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works.
