1033? 508. W/N. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.19.7.38. 25/30 Zenith Carburetter. ? With reference to Br/G26/M.15.7.38., before we agree to the charges of the Zenith Carburetter people, we should like to know what sort of a sum this is likely to involve in a year. In other words, if it is an insignificant sum we do not want to start up a discussion with the Zenith people, if, on the other hand, you are doing a number of cars, we will talk to the Zenith people about it. The largest modification for poor accelera- tion seems to us to be one for which the customer should pay. In other words, it was the best we knew of at the time, and must have been fitted to the Trials Cars, on the strength of which the customer made his purchase. Our guarantee, presumably, does not include putting every im- provement we know of on the car as each one is discovered. We should like to know what Zeniths would do if you sent the customer along to them with his com- plaints. It seems to us that if we pay for removing the carburetter and re-erecting it, Zeniths ought to contribute to the actual modifications. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
