VIBRATOR CONTROLLED DYNAMOS FOR 40/50 AND BENSPORT.

We have recently completed a high speed endurance test on one of the above machines.

The dynamo was run at a speed of 5250 RPM. on the bench high speed rig generating 12 amperes at 13 volts for the equivalent of 5000 miles on the 40/50 chassis.

The dynamo functioned satisfactorily throughout the test and the average brush wear at the conclusion was found to be .087" on the positive brushes and .026" on the negative. Morganite grade EGQ brushes were used.

The commutator was in good condition but had worn slightly.

In view of the rather strenuous conditions of the test the results can be considered reasonable
