300b. SECRET To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.8/AP 16.3.37. CONTINENTAL P.III. CAR. In view of the fact that we are proposing to use pressure cooling on this car, a thermometer and pressure gauge must be fitted to the top tank of the radiator. The thermometer should be a Negretti & Zambra which we will hand you and the pressure gauge should be of the usual Bourden type reading up to 15 lbs/sq.in. It should be as small a unit as possible. Connections for these instruments are provided on the top tank - will you please fit them and arrange the dials as neatly as possible in a small aluminium instrument panel in the car. The engine undershields should be of identical with those of 35-EX. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
