To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} DEPOT SHEET. FABRIC COUPLING. Our experience has been, when the fabric coupling is badly distorted or on the point of failure, torque re-action is XXX accentuated and the whole car becomes very rough on the pick-up. We suggest that in complaints of excessive torque re-action, where the car has been in service some little time, the fabric coupling should be examined and, if necessary, changed.
