Dear Sirs,

We wish to point out that the first trial with the new Autovac which you sent to us, we found that the float leaked, and when we took it out to examine it it was quarter full of petrol. The leak appears to take place in the central brass tube, because if we shake the float the petrol runs out of the two little holes at the top of the brass tube. We are endeavouring to make a temporary repair of this part but suggest that you send to us another tested float so that we can obtain the proper information from this instrument.

Yours faithfully,
