I do not think there is much use in a chassis with the slow speed servo going down to the South of France until we have the final scheme fitted, and then possibly we may want to take two chassis. The scheme we have adopted for fitting the slow speed servo and putting the dynamo on the engine makes it essential that the chassis taken to Mr. Royce should have the 40/50 engine in it, so that the alterations necessary to the engine and exhaust pipes can be thoroughly tested and inspected by Mr. Royce. I believe Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has written to you with regard to obtaining particulars of the Hispano car. I understand that the Hispano car referred to is practically a racing car. To demonstrate against this we should have to have a car with a small head resistance if we want to compete on maximum speed, that is, special body work. Acceleration is mostly a question of weight against Horse Power, and we should again probably have to fit an especially light weight body to demonstrate against the Hispano. To compete with a racing car we should have to build a racing model. With respect to the car for the South of France, if everyone is able to keep to the time table, the car should be able to leave here sometime between March 19th. and the end of March.
