For the attention of Mr. West.
Dear Sir,
Coil Ignition System - Relay Switch.
With further reference to your letter of the 20th August, the capacity of the relay has been measured at radio frequency and found to be 15.5 micro-micro-farads.
A laboratory investigation has also been carried out to determine the probable magnitude of the interference which may occur in Service aircraft. With the relay as designed, the interference is considerable, but can be reduced by means of earthed condensers.
It is suggested that Mr. West should visit this Establishment on Monday 21st October, 1935, or Thursday 24th October, 1935. The apparatus used for the interference measurements will be available for demonstration.
Yours faithfully,
Chief Superintendent, R.A.E.
