Instruction about changing the cover of a Type 40/50 push-button switch from German Silver to a moulded material.

To H.S. Herewith a push Button Switch. Type 40/50. This has been made with a moulded cover instead of the usual German Silver. The objection to the latter is the difficulty we have in getting good castings, also any part of the lever casing having to "short". The moulded cover is much cheaper to make & is apparently stronger owing to its domed "top", also there is no danger of "shorts". By this, asking you to take it up with "R" for his approval. The only alteration required will be that the hole in dashboard will have to be a bit larger. E.J. Brock | ||
